The other day, I looked out the window - and it was snowing. It lasted for about 2 minutes and it was really warm outside. It would have been one freaky little cloud moving along.
I was so happy though, so much so that I went outside in my bare feet and pj bottoms and spun around. I love winter and this year we really didn't have one. I barely remember wearing my winter jacket. I didn't even get to wear sweaters and layer my clothes which I love doing. I got away with just wearing a zipped hoodie for the most part.
This snow in spring brought to mind one thing: we were robbed. Robbed of winter.
I was terribly disappointed at the one snowfall that we did get. It was only a couple of inches, but I loaded up Zoe in her carseat, I had her snowsuit packed in a bag (not wearing it of course because that wouldn't be carseat safe) and was headed out my front door of my apartment to go down to Shelley's so we could take the girls up to mom & dads so they could play in the snow - and it was raining. I peered over the railing in disbelief as those stupid little drops of water started pelting down.
I waited and waited for the next snowfall and it never came. Atleast next year Zoe will be a little bit older and be able to appreciate it more, but I felt so robbed of not being able to take her out in the snow on her first winter.
Well I hope next year we get a decent amount of snow. I hate this in between weather of rain. The kind where you aren't sure if you should go out in runners or sandals, or if you should wear a jacket or not.
Til we meet again snow, til we meet again.
